Youths Counseled on How to Optimize Time, Talents

In searching for multiple sources of income and depending less on the government to provide jobs for all applicants, youths have been advised to be more intentional with how their time is spent and their God-given talents.

Speaking at an annual signature event tagged the “The Home Coming”, which was organised by Founder/International Director of the Centre for Real Impact, Kunle Joe Komolafe, CEO of DZYN Clothing Limited, Ogwa Iweze, said research has proven that so much valuable time is being wasted by youths on phones instead of creativity and self- development.

Themed “Beyond the hustles”, Iweze emphasized that life and business is all about interaction.

She encouraged youths to make their presence strong in gatherings that are dominated with young people, adding that they must be armed at all times with their business cards, look like, and wear what they produce.

She added that while working on themselves and business plans, they must remember consistency as a watchword, adding that updating themselves and their products over time is key to success.

“Be more intentional with your time and talents because research has proven that young people waste so much of their time on their phones and this isn’t good at all. You must find a balance, or else, you may burn out.

“Many youths spend time on platforms where challenges are discussed and dwelt upon, but with little or no emphasis to the solutions. Don’t sit in rooms where people are complaining. It’s tiring. Always look for solutions.”

In the same vein, CEO of Superb L and N Interiors and Almat Farms, Laylah Ali Othman, encouraged young entrepreneurs, particularly females to live above board and shatter every glass ceiling that society has placed above them.

She said women have proven to hardworking and resilient over time and must see the need to feast on every opportunity to make a mark in a world searching for innovations and something new.
